The Chaplet of Belief
Ideally, the Chaplet of Belief is prayed on a Franciscan Crown (the Rosary of the Seven Joys of the Blessed Virgin), which has seven decades. In the absence of a Franciscan Crown, a regular five decade Rosary can be used by fingering two decades a second time.
The Chaplet of Belief begins with the Nicene-Constantinopolitan Creed on the Our Father bead of the first decade. On each of the Hail Mary beads, the prayer, "I believe, help my unbelief," (Mark 9:24) is prayed. One's baptismal promises are then renewed on the subsequent Our Father beads, while "I believe, help my unbelief," is continued to be prayed on each Hail Mary bead.
The renewal of baptismal promises contained in the Chaplet of Belief is a prescribed work that has a partial indulgence attached to it. This indulgence is plenary when it is done on one's baptismal anniversary.
In the name of the Father,
and of the Son,
and of the Holy Spirit.
Amen.
I believe in one God,
the Father almighty,
maker of heaven and earth,
of all that is visible and invisible.
I believe in one Lord Jesus Christ,
the Only Begotten Son of God,
born of the Father before all ages.
God from God, Light from Light,
true God from true God,
begotten, not made, consubstantial with the Father;
through Him all things were made.
For us men and for our salvation
He came down from heaven,
and by the Holy Spirit was incarnate
of the Virgin Mary, and became man.
For our sake He was crucified under Pontius Pilate,
He suffered death, and was buried,
and rose again on the third day
in accordance with the Scriptures.
He ascended into heaven
and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
He will come again in glory
to judge the living and the dead,
and His kingdom will have no end.
I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life,
who proceeds from the Father [and the Son],
who with the Father and the Son is adored and glorified,
who has spoken through the Prophets.
I believe in one holy catholic and apostolic Church.
I confess one baptism for the forgiveness of sins,
and I look forward to the resurrection of the dead,
and the life of the world to come.
Amen.
I believe, help my unbelief.
(repeat ten times)
I reject sin,
so as to live in the freedom of God's children.
I believe, help my unbelief.
(repeat ten times)
I reject the glamour of evil,
and refuse to be mastered by sin.
I believe, help my unbelief.
(repeat ten times)
I reject Satan,
father of sin and prince of darkness.
I believe, help my unbelief.
(repeat ten times)
I believe in God, the Father almighty
creator of heaven and earth.
I believe, help my unbelief.
(repeat ten times)
I believe in Jesus Christ, His only Son our Lord,
who was born of the Virgin Mary,
was crucified, died, and was buried,
rose from the dead,
and is now seated at the right had of the Father.
I believe, help my unbelief.
(repeat ten times)
I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the holy catholic Church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and the life everlasting.
I believe, help my unbelief.
(repeat ten times)
This is our Faith.
This is the faith of the Church.
We are proud to profess it in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Amen.
