O Mary, Mother of God,
O Mary, mother of mine,
Pray that I make you proud of me.
Pray that you can look down on me
from Heaven and say with joy:
“That's my son/daughter!”
“I am so proud of him/her!”
Pray that I do not offend you.
Pray that I do not embarrass you.
Pray that I do not make you sad.
Please, my mother, show unto me
the fruit of your womb, Jesus,
Saying, “Do whatever He tells you.”
And pray that I observe such
perfect a command.
